The walls have been finished with neutral tones in sustainable Resene paints, which are VOC free and environmental choice approved. The bench seats and tables are hand made in Australia from recycled wood. The wall lamps are hand crafted in Tasmania and made from Huon Pine, and the marmoleum flooring is made from 97 per cent natural raw materials, which is rapidly renewable and consists of 43 percent recycled content.
The spa’s furnishings are specially designed to give a calming, earthy feel, and large landscape prints by Fraser Island’s resident photographer Peter Meyer, hang on the walls reflecting the beauty of the island. There are 4 treatment rooms that are each named according to the hanging artwork - sunset, ocean, forest and sand.
Complete with a relaxation room and lifestyle store with an array of natural Australian products, the Island Day Spa is specifically curated to harness the natural benefits of it pristine surroundings and reflect the ecological essence of Fraser Island.
